A huge congratulations to Huia on her selection for Manawa and earning the starting No. 12 jersey. 💙🤍🖤

Everyone at Suburbs is incredibly proud of this achievement. To be the first wahine from our club to be selected for Manawa is a special milestone, and to now be named to start at 12 is a testament to the hard work and commitment she has put in.

What makes it even more impressive is everything that happens behind the scenes. Balancing the demands of rugby while raising three young tamariki alongside Tips takes dedication, sacrifice, and plenty of teamwork. The support they give each other as a whānau while chasing opportunities like this is something to be admired.

We’re grateful Huia chose to be part of the Suburbs whānau this season and for everything she has brought to our club. Her attitude, leadership, and work ethic have made a real impact both on and off the field.

We wish Huia all the best for her first outing in the Manawa jersey and can't wait to see her take the field in the No. 12.
