Why do I make affirmation candles? 🕯️✨🌿

On my healing journey I discovered my ability to be creative. I explored many aspects of artistic playfulness. As we grow into adulthood some of us forget to how to “play”. I spent many months playing Mario cart and board games with my children. (I still play games with or without my children)Then the candles came.

I looked over my life I wondered how I got to where I am today. I thought about the KINDNESS I received from loved one and strangers. I may of received a compliment and not believed it due to my own MH but I believe it fuelled me. One time I was in hospital with an infection I was young and a nurse could tell I wasn’t able to sleep. She stroked my hair until I fell asleep. I don’t remember her name but I see her face and remember the feeling I received from this kindness.

I believe we should be kind to ourselves. Affirmations alone will not fix everything but to light a candles and taking a moment to read the message iv placed on the candle reminds me of what I want to know/ feel.

How important it is to re wire old thoughts 💭 within the healing space

Instead of looking in the mirror and putting myself down I can simply say “ I am beautiful” and a slight shift happens.

It’s just as important to show kindness to others. Maybe someone you know struggles with Mental Health saying one kind thing can send a shift within them.

It’s not so much about how I want everyone to just be kind, it’s opening up those conversations. It’s advocating for those who struggle, to hear and see someone just as they are✨🌿 if my little candle with an affirmation makes someone smile
