Some jobs leave a mark. This week in 2019 we were chin-deep in the Quay Street pits, preparing these pōhutukawa for transplant. Fast forward to today, and they’re growing beautifully along the waterfront. That’s what it’s all about.

Three years ago, this pōhutukawa was rescued from a development site and tucked away in an on-site nursery.

Today, it finally found its forever home.

Always a privilege helping talented landscape designers turn established trees into the centrepiece of something special.

Secured the palms…
Containing the windy fellas was another story. 🤣💨

Bluebird skies. Healthy trees. A great crew.

Days like this are pretty fabulous. 🌳☀️

We don’t mind swapping an early start for views like these.

A year ago these two leafy giants were growing in an old Unitec car park.

Today they’re throwing shade over a brand new playground at the Carrington development.

Exactly what we hoped to see.

Healthy, thriving, and settling into their forever home.

Yasss trees! 🌳

Over a year on, these four transplanted pōhutukawa and nikau are absolutely loving life.

They’ve gone from an old Unitec car park to overlooking a park and playground. Talk about a upgrade.

Not a bad outcome for a bunch of trees that were destined for removal. 🌳🌴💚🌈

WE LOVE NIKAU!🌴💚🌈 Back in 2022, these towering nīkau were lifted into an on-site nursery at Auckland Zoo by Crane & Cartage, ready to wait for their forever homes.

A little patience goes a long way when you’re building botanical magic.

A sunrise worth getting out of bed for.

As the sky glowed orange and pink, this kahikatea was lifted from the former Massey University site and loaded straight onto the trailer before making its way across Auckland to a new site nursery.

Now it waits, putting on fresh roots before the final move to its forever home.

Moved, not removed. 🌿

Seven years ago this week, these pōhutukawa left Quay Street under the cover of darkness.

Destination: Teal Park.

Nearly two years later, they came home.

Still thriving.
100% success.

A legacy job we’ll never stop being proud of. 🌳
