Flicking through the archives and I’ve found the loveliest photos of weddings past. Loving how happy everyone looks and how each bunch, setting and style of photography suits each couple so perfectly. What beautiful memories!

We've been a little quiet these last few months as we try to process all that is going on in the world and our beautiful Aotearoa. Flower Child was founded on three values over all. Joy, celebration and love and boy do we need all three in 2020! We'd like to share some images over the next few days that hopefully encapsulate our three core foundations. The joy of seeing families blend and come together. The celebration of friendship, whanau and tearing up the dance floor. And above all, love. Because really without love what else matters? We hope you enjoy some of our favourite past weddings as well as a throwback to Kate presenting our queen Jacinda Ardern with a FC bunch! So wonderful being able to use pops of colour for Laura and Darren’s big day on Saturday. Isn’t the coral peony striking next to the bluebells and delphinium!

25 metres of trailing eucalyptus, jasmine and rosemary dressed the reception tables and complemented the stunning venue, The Boat House, Riverhead.

🖤HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO 🖤 Exactly 5 years ago I decided that I quite liked playing with flowers and, like any good little millennial, I decided to step into the world of the side hustle. I don’t usually like commitment but can proudly say I am committed to making this little business of mine thrive and flourish and can proudly say we’re almost fully booked up for SS19/20. I am SO grateful for all of the support and SO thankful for the wonderful brides and grooms who have trusted me to create something beautiful for their big days. So thankful for my repeat customers, my amazing friends who have sung the FC praises and most of all my Mum and Dad who have helped me pillage the land, driven me far and wide and have turned Flower Child into a family business. 5 years... Time flies when you’re making pretty things, eh 💐

Peony season is here! I adore watching their petals unfurling and opening up like a picture book, a floral story that changes every day and never fails to disappoint. Being this beautiful is thirsty work so make sure you trim the stems before displaying and to keep the water fresh and plentiful ❤️
