✨ Mānawatia a Matariki ✨
There is a quiet invitation woven into Matariki.
An invitation to slow down, to lift our eyes to the stars, and to remember that life moves in seasons—each one carrying its own wisdom.
This is a time to honour those who have walked before us, to gather with whānau and friends, and to give thanks for the blessings that surround us, however simple they may seem.
The warmth of shared kai.
The laughter around the table.
The stories that keep our loved ones close.
The stillness of the early morning sky.
The hope held within a single intention for the year ahead.
Perhaps the true gift of Matariki is not found in doing more, but in being more present.
Present with those beside us.
Present with those we carry in our hearts.
Present with ourselves.
As the stars rise once more, may they remind us that even after the longest nights, light returns. That remembrance and gratitude walk hand in hand. And that every new season offers us the opportunity to begin again—with hope, with purpose, and with aroha.
