How a coffee-stained whisky sample became the World's Best Flavoured Whisky.
WXC started by accident in 2021. A late morning sample of whisky got tasted in a glass that still had coffee in it. We joked it was delicious. A year later, we made it real with as a deliciois rough sketch.
A year of R+d followed with . Whisky world intrigued. Coffee world obsessed. Then the World Whisky Awards.
Scotland round -crowned categoy winner. surreal surprise. illegal?
World finals: World’s Best Flavoured Whisky. Insane.
We don’t really know what to say.
This is the story of two like minded companies in very different fields. Throw away the playbook and focus on flavour. Two communities. One idea: just make it delicious.
Massive shout out to who live true to their value; Collaboration is the route to creativity. WXC is the proof. Thanks to everyone involved along the way.

Melbourne! If you're getting 'Australian launch' energy we are sorry. Not quite yet!
This is more of a “we were in town anyway…” situation.
Between distillery visits, a few not-very-secret meetings, and the stars aligning, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to open a few bottles for a first taste of Woven down under with the Whisky and Alement crew.
Join us ( + ) on Wednesday 18th at (where else) for Australia’s first taste of Woven. No fanfare. No ribbon cutting... Just a room full of folk and a few bottles that we won't be carrying home!
With a proper down under launch quietly taking shape, (no smoke without fire) consider this something of a pre-launch hello as we try to rustle up a few familiar faces from the Melbourne drinks scene (unofficially twinned with Edinburgh?)
As well as answering the question 'does Melbourne highball'? (Recommendations please) We will be talking all things our range, approach and plans for what's next.

See you at the bar. 🥃🦘
