A Himalayan Hero: Remembering Uttam

As a unique cross-breed of a German Shepherd and English Springer Spaniel, Uttam was the "boss" of our pack and our most experienced cadaver and wilderness dog. From the devastating Seti Khola flood to the treacherous terrains of Annapurna and Dolpo, he worked tirelessly alongside his handler, Purna Tamang, to bring closure and hope to many families. Though he passed away in 2019, his spirit continues to guide our young dogs in training. Rest in peace, dear boy, you served your country with a brave heart and an even greater nose.
