An offering marked by a burgundy feather, where the strings reveal themselves only in shadow.
A red fox and a wolf.
A new painting woven into an old story.

In August 2025, I went to the MNMT festival in Veggli to clear my head and, perhaps, to meet the right people.
On the way, I stopped to pick up a few things for my crew, and a small thrift shop caught my eye. Inside, there was an old frame, holding a painting that felt as though it had been made precisely for it.

At the time, I didn’t yet know what I would do with it. But I knew I couldn’t simply remove the painting and keep the frame. If anything, I had to add to it, as though collaborating with the artist who had created it back in 1950.

Time passed, and my mind filled with ideas for the upcoming exhibition. This piece became the final one, and somehow, the most special.

I asked my flatmate, who happens to work in a frame shop, if he could help reassemble the frame, as it had come slightly apart.

And then it became clear.
The theatre piece I had been imagining for some time felt like the perfect fit, using the original painting as the stage itself.
