History Has Been Made

The Call to Bar Ceremony of the 293 newly admitted students into the Ahmadu Bello University Students' Bar organised by the Body of Benchers, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria on the 17th day of July, 2023 was an outstanding success. During the ceremony, the sole applicant for the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Ahmadu Bello University and three Notaries Public were sworn in.

The occasion was graced by many distinguished dignitaries to wit: the Dean, Students Affairs, the Director, Kongo Campus, the Assistant Dean of Law, the Acting Chief Security Officer, Kongo Campus, the Chairman of NBA, Zaria Branch, the Chairman, Young Lawyers' Forum, Zaria Branch, the HOD, Islamic Law Department and the Deputy Director, School of Post-graduate Studies, the Chief Magistrate, Rigasa, the Head of Chambers, Umar Musa Danfulani and Co., the Publicity Secretary of NBA, Zaria Branch, the Principal Partner of Blackstone Chambers, Maryam Abacha American University, Maradi and United Nations and African Union Ambassador and many other legal practitioners too numerous to be exhaustively mentioned.

The ceremony was a huge success as it reflected many features of the conventional Call to Bar, including a procession by the Benchers from Moot Court Complex to the venue of the event as can be seen in the pictures and clips attached hereunder. Indeed, history has been made.

Our deepest appreciation to our distinguished Dean of Law, Associate Prof. Salim B Magashi, the Assistant Dean Undergraduate, Dr. Umar Sani Bebeji and all other distinguished lecturers at the faculty.
