At the plenary of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, 8th July, 2026, I participated in the consideration of several important national issues aimed at strengthening fiscal accountability, improving budget implementation, enhancing national security, promoting food security, and advancing critical legislative reforms.

Among other decisions, we constituted Ad Hoc Committees to investigate the inclusion of an alleged unlawful entity in the 2026 Appropriation framework and the slow pace of budget implementation. We also took further legislative steps on the State Police Bill, considered key committee reports, passed six Bills at Third Reading, advanced four Bills at Second Reading, and received Executive Communications from President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

I remain committed to supporting legislation and oversight initiatives that promote transparency, accountability, national development, and the overall welfare of Nigerians.
