Delta State women, many of you have become the breadwinners in your homes. This isn’t just about tribe—it’s about how so many women are carrying more than they should, while some husbands have become lazzy.

You see a woman who just gave birth, yet she’s already up doing house chores. And you ask, where is her husband? He’s nowhere to be found. (That one no dey do anything for house ooo)

You see a pregnant woman hustling with a tray of mangoes on her head. Tomorrow, she disappears from the market. Ask her why—her husband’s keke broke down, he asked her for money, and never paid it back.

You see a mother raising children, yet from the first child to the last, not one diaper has been bought by her husband. Even hospital bills are settled by her family. Still, she keeps giving birth. Why? Because society says one child is not enough—“Na boy and girl God create, I must born the two inside this marriage.” (they will tell you, them no dey born one pikin for one doormouth oooo, that pikin go dey lonely)

Who will deliver our Delta women from this burden?

This is why many have become aggressive, short-tempered, and emotionally unstable. They are not just “talking anyhow”—they are depressed and crushed by the weight they carry.

I once saw a woman’s legs covered with bulging veins—all from stress!

Delta women, hear me: carrying all the family’s responsibilities alone is not right.

Help him too much, and he will stop trying.
Help him too much, and he will dump every responsibility on you. Help him too much, and he may even find another person to “help” while you break down.

You deserve care, rest, and pampering.
You deserve to give birth only to children your husband can truly provide for.
