Is It True That This Plant Can Power an Airplane?
In Abu Dhabi's desert, there is a plant that can power an airplane. Planes usually operate on oil, which accounts for 100% of their fuel, and this is not sustainable.
Consequently, Etihad Airways is testing a different fuel source. They cultivate plants in the desert, collect the seeds, and crush them into vegetable oil.
This oil is then transformed into conventional airplane fuel.
Performing similarly to regular fuel, it cuts carbon emissions by up to 80%. The world is presently testing fuels produced from plants, sugar, corn, and trash.
The ultimate objective is for planes to fly without harming the planet.
