“When is the next Upwork masterclass?”
That’s been my most common DM lately, and honestly, I understand why.
One of my students sent me this message 👇🏽
After attending my Upwork masterclass and actually implementing the strategies, they landed a job within one week…
That single job has now earned them over $1,000 on Upwork (almost $2k).
This is exactly why I do what I do.
So yes, registration is officially OPEN for my first Upwork Masterclass of the year 🎉
Someone once told me,
“This is ridiculously cheap for the value and results people get.”
I agree… and that’s my gift to a community of freelancers who are hungry, consistent, and willing to try again.
If you’ve been applying and hearing nothing.
If you’re tired of doubting yourself.
If you just need clarity and direction, not noise.
This might be for you.
We don’t shout.
We don’t overpromise.
The reviews are there.
And the community is full of freelancers who genuinely want to see each other win.

“I’ll invest in that course once I land my first client.”
“I’ll build my portfolio when someone hires me.”
That mindset is what keeps most freelancers stuck in the waiting room.
Clients don’t just pay for potential, they pay for proof.
If you don’t have paid projects yet, create practice projects.
Design mock tasks. Write case studies. Volunteer strategically.
Show your skill before anyone pays for it.
When you act like a professional before the title, the title comes faster.
Freelancing success doesn’t start with clients, it starts with preparation.

Stop Writing Proposals Like a CV, Clients Aren’t Just Hiring Employees, They’re Hiring Problem Solvers!
Here’s the truth, most freelancers lose clients before they even get a chance, not because they lack skills, but because their proposals sound like job applications.
Your proposal isn’t your CV, it’s your first conversation with the client. It should make them feel, “This person gets me.”
Here’s the secret:
Always start your proposal by proving you actually read the job post. Reflect their pain point, summarize what they need, and show how you can help specifically.
For example:
“I noticed you’re looking for someone to streamline your customer onboarding process. I’ve helped similar SaaS businesses reduce onboarding time by 40%, and here’s how I’d approach yours…”
That opening line alone tells the client:
✅ You read their post.
✅ You understand their need.
✅ You have a plan.
Remember, clients don’t want your life story, they want to feel understood.
So next time you write a proposal, ask yourself:
“Does this sound like a CV… or like a solution?”
Write like a problem solver. That’s how you get noticed and hired.

If you need some help making your first $1000, this is for you.
My first pay as a 7-month pregnant work-from-home mum was $100 in my first week at my first Upwork job. It took me a month to withdraw my funds because of some issues with my bank.
I remember walking out of the bank with $300 notes💵(3, $100 bills). It felt so good 😊, this was money made out of ease. Doing something I love from the comfort of my home. From a stay-at-home mum doing nothing at the time, this was a breakthrough!
📌𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒂𝒑 𝒃𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆. 𝑴𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒘𝒃𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒄𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒕!
I, on the other hand, skipped all of that by climbing on the shoulder of someone who has been there, done that, has visible results.
This April, I will be going on this journey that has moved me from earning $100 in a week to earning that in a few hours with another group of new and aspiring freelancers who are hungry for success.
