The Lies Alcohol Tells
1. “I will make you happy.”
Alcohol promises joy and relief from sadness, but in reality, it deepens emptiness and can lead to depression, regret, and sorrow (Proverbs 23:29–30).
The laughter it gives is short-lived, but the pain it leaves is long-lasting.
2. “I will make you bold.”
Many drink because they think alcohol gives them courage, but it only leads to reckless words, shameful actions, and regret (Proverbs 20:1).
True boldness comes from the Holy Spirit, not from a bottle.
3. “I will help you forget your problems.”
Alcohol may dull the mind temporarily, but problems remain – and often worsen with addiction, financial loss, and broken relationships.
The peace of God is what truly passes understanding (Philippians 4:6–7).
4. “I will help you fit in.”
Alcohol lies that drinking makes you accepted and popular. In reality, it enslaves and traps people in lifestyles they once despised.
Acceptance in Christ gives a deeper sense of belonging than any crowd or party.
5. “I will give you pleasure.”
Yes, sin often feels pleasurable at first, but it ends in destruction (Hebrews 11:25, Proverbs 14:12).
Alcohol destroys health, wastes resources, and leads to bo***ge.

📌 Key Takeaway for Sharing:
Alcohol’s promises are false. It gives a temporary feeling but steals joy, peace, dignity, and even destiny. The real fulfillment it promises can only be found in Christ.
