IS THIS WICKEDNESS OR WHAT? 😡🐥

A woman booked 50 day-old chicks.

She came on a booking day (Monday/Thursday).
Her name was written.
Her number was collected.
She paid ₦1,000 commitment fee.

As many of you in poultry business know, arrival days are Tuesday and Friday. Once you book, the hatchery prepares based on confirmed numbers. These are not clothes. These are living animals.

The chicks arrived on the scheduled arrival day.
They called her to come pick up her 50 chicks.

Her response?

“It came earlier than I expected. I’m no longer interested.”

Just like that.

50 day-old chicks.

Tell me, what should the seller do with them?

Keep them where?
Feed them with what budget?
Sell to who — when they were hatched based on pre-orders?

People don’t understand that when you book livestock, you activate a chain: Hatchery → Sorting → Transportation → Distribution.

This is not a phone reservation you cancel casually.

But let’s also talk truth…

Why is ₦1,000 the commitment fee for 50 chicks? That’s barely anything. If the deposit was more realistic, maybe people would think twice before cancelling.

This is why many small poultry businesses struggle. Not because the market is bad — but because commitment is low.

Business is built on integrity.
Your word should mean something.

If you were the seller, what would you do?
Is this wickedness, irresponsibility, or poor business structure?

Let’s talk. 👇🐔
