Why S*x education for children aged 2 to 8 years should be simple, gentle, and focused on safety, respect, and body awareness, not on adult s*xual details. At this age, the goal is to protect, guide, and build confidence in your child.

We are living in a time where phones, tablets, and the internet have become part of our daily lives. Children now grow up with screens around them from a very young age. While technology can be useful for learning and communication, it also comes with many dangers if not properly controlled.

In the digital world, children are just one click away from harmful videos, bad language, violence, and adult content. Many of these things appear suddenly through adverts, social media, or links sent by friends. Without guidance, a child’s innocent mind can easily be affected.

Children learn by watching. Whatever they see online, they may try to practice in real life. This is why parents and guardians must be very careful about what their children are exposed to. Giving a child a phone without supervision is like sending them into a busy road without protection.

Protecting our children in the digital world starts from home.

We must take responsibility by:
• Monitoring what our children watch and download
• Using parental controls and passwords on devices
• Limiting screen time
• Keeping phones and tablets in open places, not hidden in bedrooms
• Checking browsing history regularly
• Talking to children about online dangers

It is also important to teach children how to protect themselves online. They should know:
• Not to talk to strangers on the internet
• Not to share personal information
• Not to send pictures of themselves
• To report anything that makes them uncomfortable

Beyond rules, children need love and attention. When parents are close to their children, they feel safe to share what they see online. A child who can talk freely with their parents is less likely to be trapped by online dangers.

Schools and churches also have a role to play. They should organize programs to educate children and parents about digital safety. Working together as a community makes protection stronger.

Let us remember that technology is a tool. It can build a child or destroy a child, depending on how it is used. The choice is in our hands.

Our children are our future. Their minds are precious. Their innocence is priceless. Let us guide them wisely in this digital world so they can grow into responsible, confident, and God-fearing adults.
