you slowly drop the things that once defined youā¦
Until one day, you canāt even explain where youāre from.
Culture doesnāt disappear overnightā¦
it fades quietly.
Are we losing it?
Your language is part of who you are.
Stop speaking it, and you slowly lose pieces of your culture.
Some things just donāt hit the same in English.
One day you might not even fully understand your grandparents.

Most people get this wrong about Africa
Africa is NOT a country⦠and itās definitely not one culture.
Africa is home to over 3,000 ethnic groups and more than 2,000 languages.
That means the way the Yoruba people dress, speak, marry, and celebrate is completely different from the Maasai people or the Zulu people.
Same continent.
Thousands of cultures.
So next time someone says āAfrican cultureāā¦
