Please know that we can have encounters upon encounters, life-defining and life-changing encounters at that but still come back from them and spew things that aren't in line with the New Testament or the revelation of Jesus.

Encounters are good and are very handy when it comes to having a changed life. One encounter can change one's life forever, hence, I advise that we desire and cherish it. However, don't sit on it when you have one. You may come out and be more confused in your knowledge and understanding than you were before it if you aren't grounded in the revelation of Christ. You may come out worse and become more heretic and misleading. I've seen powerful, renowned, articulate, highly gifted and anointed believers come off this way due to encounters they have.

Know that because something is evidential doesn't mean it's of the truth. Errors have their own proofs.

Desire encounter but make sure the revelation of Christ supercedes your encounters.
