I opened Twitter to cool my head all for me to see the post of a guy talking about how Nigerian economy has affected the prices of household electronics; smart TV, washing machine, fridge, microwave, generator and AC. He made the list this way:
TV: 500k+
AC: 300k+
Washing machine: 400k+
Fridge: 200k+
Microwave: 100k+
Gen: 400k+ for Kva

After he gave the above list, he said and I quote 'How younger generation wan even start life now?' I think he would have to provide an answer himself because that question is definitely not for me. Looking at the list, the sum of it is nothing less than 1.9 million naira. This, according to him, is a standard for setting up as a young man in Nigeria.

Let me even as you, dear reader, when you saw the list, how did it occur to you? You see, if you're not careful in this life, people will tamper with your emotions, decisions and plans and resultantly slower your journey in life. They would set standards they can't live just because they can write online and not be prosecuted for writing rubbish.

Looking at the list, there is none of the items that can't be got at a cheaper rate. I am not talking about haggling price with the sellers, I am talking about the fact that there is no product that doesn't have cheaper version of itself — you just have to cut your coat according to your size.

Mind you, who even said TV can't be got as cheap as 100k or even cheaper, why now mentioning 500k+, is it to scare people away or what? Look closely at all other items, they can all be got way cheaper than that figure written there.

Here is the message, don't let people of the world set standard for you. Don't let poor people behind a phone keyboard set standard of life for you. A rich man using 500k TV would think he has got the best TV until he gets shocked when he sees a man with 50 million Naira TV meanwhile the average man using 50k TV is definitely seeing movies you can see. Then, why the stress?

A house can be powered with Mikano power generating set, and that same house can be powered with a small Elepaq power generating set. Your money should determine what you buy. Know that and know peace.

You can start life with anything, buy what you can afford until you are able to afford the higher versions. Life, they say, is stage by stage. Don't let the online 'fakers' pressurise you nor set standard for you. Peace!

'What is special about waking and cooking at 4:30am everyday? Something my mum does on a daily basis' Hearing this from a colleague at work left me cracked up. Another person added 'nothing is special about it, are you not supposed to wake early and cook for the family as a woman?'

When I thought that's all, a statement from another person left me more cracked up. This person is actually a lady, she said 'I can't ever do it, for what?'. I thought it's a joke until she changed her face and flexed her muscles in anger to convey her message confirming she can't do it, no matter what.

However, here is a fact, waking at 4:30am to cook for the family as a married woman is actually a common phenomenon in Africa especially in homes where there are no modern technological appliances to aid cooking. Hence, I would simply say the lady who said she can't wake at such time is not actually ready to face realities embedded in marriage. There are lots of sacrifice you make in marriage to keep the marriage working. Cooking is one big essential.

Now, considering the Twitter personality, Debbie, who in just a second, became a person of fame and influence because of tweeting that she wakes at 4:30am to cook for her husband to keep other women away from offering her husband food at workplace, is just a product of GRACE and MERCY of God.

When grace and mercy of God coincide with the timing attached to your destiny, a common thing becomes rare and special, thus shooting you to startdom.

Do you even know that people that pose as your stark enemies, always opposing you at any slight opportunity could be catalysts of your success. You don't need to stop them. Instead, you keep doing what you do that defines you. Why am I saying this? Those feminists and non-feminists antagonising Debbie for her daily task in marriage brought her to limelight, she got dragged on the internet to glory through their influence. All in all, it's still the grace of God that made all happen like that. God won't descend and do wonders, he will use friends or enemies to accomplish a mission.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you this. Even if you don't have any other prayer point in this life, the happening surrounding Debbie taught me to always pray for mercy and grace of God, please always pray for such. It's a great prayer that can settle all problems you count before God in your praying time. May mercy and grace of God find us.
