My customer came around today to pick up some items for her newborn. I congratulated her and asked how her baby was faring. It was then she told me she lost one of them at birth. I felt sad and sympathized with her, but she brushed it off and simply told me she was grateful for her life and also for the surviving baby because it could have been worse. She was advised to go for a cesarean section, but someone took her 'somewhere,' probably a miracle centre. She said she had learned her lesson the hard way because she ended up with the cesarean section she was running away from.

Apart from the stigma of not delivering like the Hebrew women, I believe the cost of a cesarean section is part of the reason many Nigerian women shy away from it. 🤰🏽👶🏽💊🏥
