MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE
ON THE 3RD YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF MY TURBANING AS KHADEEMUL-L-MUSLIMEEN OF OYO ALAAFIN

Bismillāh ir-Raḥmān ir-Raḥīm

All praise is due to Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, who grants honour and responsibility to whom He wills. Peace and blessings be upon our noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his family, companions, and all those who follow his path till the Day of Judgment.

Today, 28th April, marks exactly three years since I was turbanned as the Khadeemul-l-Muslimeen of Oyo Alaafin. I remain deeply humbled by this great responsibility and the trust reposed in me by the Muslim community and the entire Oyo Alaafin.

I wish to express my sincere and heartfelt appreciation to all our respected scholars, elders, leaders, brothers, sisters, and the youth who have stood firmly with me on this journey. Your unwavering support, prayers, counsel, and cooperation have been instrumental in every modest achievement recorded so far.

Over these three years, whatever impact we have made in strengthening Islamic values, promoting unity, supporting community development projects, and uplifting the less privileged has only been by the will of Allah and through your collective efforts. From initiatives aimed at youth development and religious enlightenment to interventions in community welfare and peaceful coexistence, I am constantly reminded that leadership is truly a trust (amanah) that must be upheld with sincerity and fear of Allah.

I do not see this anniversary as a celebration of self, but as a moment of reflection, accountability, and renewed commitment to serve Islam and humanity better.

I acknowledge that much more remains to be done, and I seek your continuous support, advice, and prayers as we strive together on this noble path.

I pray that Allah (SWT) accepts our efforts as acts
of ‘ibadah, forgives our shortcomings, and continues to guide us aright. May He strengthen our unity, bless our land, and grant us the ability to leave behind a legacy of righteousness and service.

Oyo Steps Into the Future: Alaafin Unveils STEM, AI & Robotics Centre

A major step toward innovation and youth empowerment has been recorded in Oyo!
Stanchion TM, under the leadership of Chief Innovation Officer, Dr. Temitope Sule-Akinsemoyin, has officially been appointed as the strategic partner and management consultant for the OWOADE STEM, AI & Robotics Centre, Oyo.

The Centre, established under the leadership of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I (Iku Baba Yeye), is set to become a powerhouse for innovation — focusing on robotics, artificial intelligence, and applied STEM education.

This initiative is designed to empower young people, nurture tech-driven talents, and support innovation-based businesses across Oyo State.
Stanchion TM will oversee the Centre’s development, operations, and strategic partnerships, collaborating with global partners including African Group led by Engr. Fatoki Michael Bolutif and IBMKP Global (Australia) led by John Ikidi.

This landmark project positions Oyo as a rising hub for technology, innovation, and youth development in Nigeria.

Alaafin Speaks Out: “I’m Not Fighting Anyone, I’ve Just Been Unwell”

The Alaafin of Oyo, His imperial majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade 1, has explained that his absence at public events is due to health reasons.

He also cleared the rumours that he has problems with Seyi Makinde and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidi Ladoja.

According to him, there is no disagreement between them, and they still have a good relationship.

Speaking in Oyo town, the king said he has no issue with the government and described the governor as a kind person. He added that if any issue comes up, he will settle it privately with the governor.
