Yesterday at Umuguma, we laid to rest my security aide, Late David Onyegbula who lost his dear life in the line of duty.

Until his untimely death, he was an embodiment of loyalty, vigilance and discipline.Though he is gone , but his legacy of courage will live on in the history of our area and state at large.

Today, we bid farewell to two key individuals whose passing leaves a profound void in our administration.

Late David Onyegbula was my security aide, served with unparalleled discipline, unwavering loyalty, and a relentless commitment to protecting our area.

Also, Late Dr Oby Oguzie , Former SA to the Executive Governor of Imo on Primary Education. A refined mother , who puts excellence and humanity first. She made immense sacrifices and contributions to our administration, really we shall continue to miss them.

May their soul continue to rest in Peace.

I received in audience a delegation of the Imo State Independent electoral commission (Isiec) led by the Chairman, Chief Charles Ejiogu.

The commission who came on a facility tour in the LGA particularly their branch office stationed in the council.

This visit no doubt underscores the Commission’s renewed focus on early groundwork, technological enhancement, and staff welfare even as we prepare for the next LG elections in Imo.

Yesterday at Umudibia Nekede, I attended the burial ceremony of Late Mrs Stella Ibekwe, wife of the former TC Chairman of Owerri West LGA, Hon BB Ibekwe.

I extended my condolence to my predecessor, Umuokoto kindred and offered prayers. May her soul find eternal rest, Amen.

As part of our social responsibility as a local government, yesterday , i embarked on a road grading at Umukoto Umudibia Nekede. This I passionately did as part of my contribution to my predecessor, Hon BB Ibekwe, a former TC Chairman Owerri West whose wife will be laid to rest on Thursday. The project will ease vehicular movements during and after the burial as that road was impassable before now.

Glad to receive a civil society group identified as Stand up for Women Initiative. This team led by Liberator Ann Nwoke stands for social Justice and equity for the vulnerable women .

Really, I was delighted to learn their societal engagements including the upbringing of the girl child and preaching the gospel of 'Women involvement in Politics'.

I encouraged them to remain steadfast in their vision to build a better and safer society for the women and girl child.
