Good Day!
If you’ve misplaced your passport with an approved U.S. visa, here’s what you should do:

1. Report the Loss Immediately:

Local Police: File a police report to document the loss or theft. Get a copy of the report as it may be required later.

Passport Issuing Authority: Report the loss to your home country's passport office or embassy.

2. Apply for a New Passport:

Follow your home country’s procedure to get a replacement passport.

You may need to provide the police report and other identification documents.

3. Report Your Lost Visa to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate:

Visit the official website of the U.S. embassy or consulate in your country.

Report the lost/stolen visa through their online portal or by visiting in person.

You might need to provide:

A copy of the police report

Your passport details

Details of the lost visa (visa number, type, and issuance date if known)

4. Apply for a New Visa:

Unfortunately, U.S. visas cannot be reissued. You must apply for a new visa.

Complete a new DS-160 visa application form.

Pay the visa fee again.

Schedule an interview (even if previously waived).

Bring the following to your interview:

New passport

Police report

Any documents related to the lost visa

Proof of prior visa approval (if available)

5. Monitor Your Visa Status:

Sometimes, the U.S. embassy may put the lost visa on a watchlist to prevent misuse.
