When we assumed office, Olumo Rock was generating between ₦3 million and ₦4 million annually. Recognizing its cultural and tourism value, we took the bold decision to temporarily shut it down for comprehensive refurbishment.
Today, following that restoration, Olumo Rock has been transformed into a leading tourist destination, now generating about ₦10 million weekly, amounting to roughly ₦40 million monthly. This remarkable turnaround reflects our commitment to unlocking the economic potential of our heritage assets while positioning Ogun State as a premier destination for tourism and investment.
