Just In: The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to tell Nigerians the truth behind the sudden and unexpected reshuffle of the security forces.

In a statement issued by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the ADC, the party expressed concern that the reshuffle was prompted by the widespread rumours of a coup attempt.

“While we acknowledge that the President, as Commander-in-Chief, has the power to make such changes at his discretion, we are concerned that this reshuffle came at a time when rumours of a coup attempt are being circulated.”

“We reiterate our earlier view that the government’s response to this dangerous rumour has so far failed to provide a clear and comprehensive account of the matter.”
