DAY 2 UPDATE
The Network for Peace and Inclusive Development (NPID) participated in the closing session of the 2-day Workshop on Mapping Relevant Actors/Stakeholders, Local Peace Platforms and Networks in Niger State with the theme:
“Enhancing Local Ownership to Promote Alternative Dispute Resolution and Social Cohesion as Pathways for Sustainable Peace.”
The focus of Day-2 was on “Resolving the Heart of Conflict.”
Objectives of the Session:
• To remind participants of the root causes of conflict.
• To examine practical ways of addressing and moving out of such causes.
Key Highlights:
• Development of a Conflict Watch List to better understand:
• Levels of conflict in communities.
• The persistence/retentiveness of conflicts.
• The urgent need for proactive change.
• Discussion on behaviors and attitudes that fuel, promote, or invite conflict within society.
• Emphasis on the role of peace actors and local platforms in fostering collaboration, dialogue, and social cohesion.

Update on Radio Programme and Town Hall Meeting.

The Network for Peace and Inclusive Development (NPID) in collaboration with PASSCARD Consulting Limited held a strategic meeting today to conclude all necessary preparations for the forthcoming Media Outreach and Town Hall Meeting on Voter and Civic Education.

The meeting was successful, with logistics, coordination, and implementation strategies finalized to ensure the smooth hosting of the event.
