SUG WELCOMES STUDENTS BACK TO CAMPUS.

Sequel to the suspension of the 8th-month-old strike by ASUU and consequent to the release of an adjusted academic calendar by the university, the Students' Union Government wishes to welcome all students back to the campus and wish them a safe journey as they return from their various home-states.

The SUG also wishes to assure students that all arrangements are being put in place towards making the school environment habitable, clean and conducive for students to continue learning under a safe and comfortable learning atmosphere.

Meanwhile, students are urged to return on the stipulated date and get on with their academic activities to avoid stories that touch the heart.

Finally, the SUG once again congratulates all students and wishes them a safe journey and success in their forthcoming assessments and examinations.

The Students Union Government has today, 26th August, held a crucial meeting with the Dean Student's Affairs concerning power outage in the hostels and other challenges being faced by the students.

The meeting which lasted for hours ended on a positive note. The Dean has made the issues tabled before him a top priority and assured the Union that all necessary and immediate actions will be taken. With regard to power outage in the hostels, the Dean has reiterated that relevant actions have been taken to restore power supply in the institution.

We assure students that they are our top priority and all relevant issues will be addressed as soon as possible. We urge the students not to relent in channeling their complaints to the SUG as all issues will be duly considered without hesitation.
