Members of the KOGI APPEALS Knwoledge Management Core Team (KMCT) led by the focal person, Mr. Adebayo Ozomata, Yesterday, presented the Knowledge management strategy document to the Management of the Kogi State Agricultural Development Project. (ADP)
According to the focal person, the presentation of the strategic document and other documents to the ADP management as part of the activity of handing over the Knowledge Management documents, Library and other resources garnered over the years by the project as it wines down to a close.
He noted the strategic roles the ADP has played in supporting the successful implementation of the APPEALS Project in the state.
Responding, the Managing Director Kogi ADP, represented by the Director, Rural Institutions Development, Mr. Sani Mohammed appreciated the effort of Kogi APPEALS so far in developing the Agricultural sector of the state and promised that the documents and Library being handed over to the organisation will be safe and well managed.

The APPEALS State Project Coordinator, Dr Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata has been commended for putting the welfare of beneficiaries of the Women and Youth Empowerment Programme on the front burner of project ex*****on. This was stated by some beneficiaries who participated at the just concluded knowledge exchange tour to Morocco when they paid a visit to him in his office.
They noted that the picture frame presented to him was to show their deep appreciation for his numerous efforts in promoting the welfare of WYEP beneficiaries.
The promised to utilize the knowledge gained from the exchange visit to improve on their Agri businesses.
Responding, the State project Coordinator, Dr Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata said though he never expected the show of love from them, noting that the appreciation will propel him to do more.
He urged them not to allow the end of the APPEALS Project to signify the end of their relationship with staff of the project and their Agri business enterprise.
He promised to be on the look out for any opportunity that will be beneficial to them.

Dr Ozomata outlines qualities of an effective leader, bags award of excellence
The APPEALS State Project Coordinator Dr Sanni Abdullahi Ozomata says honesty, empathy, creativity with an open mind; communication skills and vision are some of the qualities needed to be developed to become an effective leader of influence.
He noted that the task of leadership which is to influence the values, behavior and attitudes of others is not a right but a choice that is guided by a heart of service, accountability empathetic and compassionate, open to learning and a great listener.
Dr Ozomata stated this as a guest speaker during the annual mentorship day and presentation of awards of excellence by the Association of Nigerian Female students (ANFS) Kogi state chapter held at the glass house Government house with the Theme “GROOM THE GIRL CHILD FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE”.
According to him, a female leader should be good at multitasking, have a balanced work-life and be a big dreamer. He however, said that a female leader is likely faced with challenges such as gender based harassment, differing pay, limited career advancement and lack of sponsorship and mentor amongst others. He then advised them never to give up on their sacrifices to get to the top as it will be worth it at the end of the day.
At the end of the event the state project coordinator was presented with an award of excellence for being among the best state project coordinators of a donor funded project in the state.
