The Kuteb (or Kutep) are an ethnic group predominantly located in the Takum and Ussa Local Government Areas of Taraba State, Nigeria, with a population of approximately 100,000–600,000, and some presence in Cameroon. Known as skilled farmers, they are believed to have originated from Egypt, migrating around 1000 AD and settling in the Benue River basin, contributing to the Kwararafa kingdom
