My cake baking experience.

Started my cake class with buttercream and honestly, buttercream cakes are my faves 😍

Then came fondant class and mehnn, as an amateur baker, it felt like serious stress to me.

You need real patience and fondant cakes are artistic.

But after some classes and plenty of practice, I’ve grown to enjoy it and will continue to practice. The culinary school I attended, gave me the opportunity to practice around and make a graduation theme cake.

I'm still team buttercream though 😊

Well, I want to share my experience on procrastination.

As a business person, procrastination is something you shouldn't do.

So, I’ve been saying for the longest time that I would create a proper price list for my food bowls. You know, something nice and graphic that I can just send to customers instead of typing prices every single time someone messaged me on WhatsApp, deep down, i knew having a proper price list would make things easier and more professional, but guess what? I kept procrastinating 🤦‍♀️

Then last week, a number called and asked if she was speaking to Haks Food and I said yes, she went further to ask if it was an eat-in restaurant or an online food business, i replied her the latter. She asked for price and I gave her price for 2 litres and 3 litres soup bowls and i requested if i could send her the prices on WhatsApp and she agreed, na there i messsss uppp (in akpi's voice).

After that call, i realised i had not created the graphic design price list, i quickly opened my canva app to work on it and it took some minutes. While designing, i kept thinking what if this customer already moved on? What if I missed my shot because I wasn’t ready?

I sha finished designing the price list, sent it to her on WhatsApp and she didn't reply.

I felt bad but it taught me a lesson not procrastinate again.
