Side business ideas for Educators Lecture Series Week 3: Ecommerce- Selling on Jumia, Konga & Facebook
One industry that was not adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic was the food and beverages industry.Reason: You need to eat, to remain alive. In fact, my kids were eating more during this lock down.
Most people suspended subscribing for data, some suspended GOTV, DSTV subscriptions during the lock down to save some funds. But there is something they could not suspend: Feeding their children and immediate family members.
In Lagos, the government even had to allow fresh food produce sellers to open for few hours even at the height of the lock down. Why? People MUST eat before Hunger Virus kill them.
Food stuff business was one business I saw that the traders were never out of business for one day throughout the lock down. In fact in my estate in Lagos, the traders were smiling to the bank because we all were forced to buy from the nearby food stuff sellers. You cannot go to major Food stuff markets like Mile 12, Oyinbo, etc to stock up your house due to the fear of the government task forces seeking for persons to make scapegoats.
Now, imagine that you had the opportunity to order any food item of your choice and get them delivered at your doorsteps in a matter of hours and the you still get to pay at fair prices.
Are you still imagining how possible is that? Please stop imagining?
