The Tale of this pork yum!

So the China home life fair held in Lagos last week and trust the inquisitive Stacy to show up. I could only attend on Saturday to see what they had to offer.

I looked around but nothing much aroused my interest until I saw the guy called Sen Li. A very funny Chinese Lad. He came to naija to sell packaged Chili and garlic.

I probed him on his product - What is it? What type of chili is it?
Is it hot? What's the flavour?

Some looked like our normal Rodo aka Scotch Bonnet some looked picture perfect!
I offered to buy. I got some as gift as we both clicked a friendship.

On my way home I got some pork from the store and made this yum using the Chili. It was Da bomb! Tender and delicious!

RECIPE!

PORK CHOPS 500GRAMS
Chili flakes
Honey
Parsley leaves chopped

Pork Rub:
Paprika. 1tsp
Salt to taste
Garlic 1 clove crushed
Black pepper 1tsp
Onion powder 1tsp

Procedure: mix all dry ingredients and rub it on the pork.
Marinade for at least 40mins so the flavors will be more intense
If you have an air fryer or oven just pop it in for 15 to 20mins @ 170°c or till it's cooked through.

Mix the honey and pepper and parsley, brush on the pork, allow to cook for 5 mins more.

Bring out of oven/ air fryer and rest for like 3mins before cutting. Now serve with your side dish of choice.

I paired this with a nice garden salad and corn!
