The Nigerian judiciary has been thrown into turmoil after the Court of Appeal slammed a Federal High Court judge with accusations of "judicial impertinence" and "rascality." 'The decision of the lower court to proceed with the judgment despite the express order of this court is a brazen violation of the hierarchy of the court,' the appellate court declared, while ordering a stay on the judgment that would have deregistered the ADC and four other political parties. Former Senate President David Mark fired back: 'The ADC is not on trial. Rather, it is the judiciary that is on trial.' With INEC itself reportedly stunned by the ruling and the National Judicial Council now under pressure to act, the question on every Nigerian's lips is: can we still trust our courts to be impartial?

Join me, K**elomo Atanda-Owo, the real talker, as I engage my audience on an open mic session to discuss: Judiciary on Trial: When Judges Disobey Orders, Who Guards the Guardians? I'll explore the explosive allegations of judicial misconduct, the political undertones of the deregistration saga, and what this means for the credibility of our elections and democracy.

It will be interesting to share your opinions and inquiries on my live radio program RealtalkwithK**e Today, Wednesday 5:00pm-5:45pm WAT on IFM 92.3 for your drive time discussion. Tick tock ⏱

Leadership has always been at the heart of Nigeria's development story. Yet, decades after independence and years into democratic governance, many Nigerians continue to express deep frustration about the state of the nation. From economic hardship and rising unemployment to insecurity, failing infrastructure, and declining public trust, citizens are increasingly asking whether the country's greatest challenge is not its resources, but its leadership.

Is Nigeria's greatest challenge a leadership problem, a followership problem, or an institutional problem?

Why does the cycle of hope and disappointment seem to repeat after every administration?

Are Nigerians choosing leaders based on competence and character, or on ethnicity, religion, and party loyalty?

Join me, K**elomo Atanda-Owo, the real talker, as I engage Prof. Christian Harrison, Professor of leadership & enterprise leadership researcher, governance expert, director, centre for leadership & empowerment on the topic: The leadership question: why do Nigerians keep losing faith in their leaders?

Together, we'll discuss on examining the values, standards, and institutions that shape leadership in Nigeria focusing not just on who leads, but on how leaders are chosen, how they are held accountable, and how citizens can help build a culture of competent, ethical, and responsible governance.

Nigeria's security challenges have become one of the most pressing issues confronting the nation today. From kidnappings and banditry to terrorism, communal clashes, and violent crimes, citizens across the country continue to demand more effective protection of lives and property. In response to these growing concerns, the debate over the establishment of State Police has gained unprecedented national attention.

Why has the demand for State Police become more urgent in recent years?

Will local policing improve intelligence gathering and response times to security threats?

Do states have the financial resources to establish, equip, and sustain their own police forces?

Join me, K**elomo Atanda-Owo, the real talker, as I engage Gaiya Nasamu Julius, protection of civilians specialist, security sector reform expert, conflict & humanitarian protection practitioner, on the topic: State police: The solution to insecurity or a new risk?

Together, we'll discuss on how Nigeria can improve security through effective, accountable, and community-based policing while safeguarding against political abuse, protecting human rights, and preserving national unity.
