Wike Vs Fubara: Who Will Laugh Last?

What happened in Rivers State today isn't enough to conclude that Governor Sim Fubara has outsmarted or defeated Former Governor Nyesom Wike in their face-off. Those who understand politics will never make such a conclusion, given the fact that 2027 is still far away. We all saw what happened in Lagos and Edo states. Both Ambode and Obaseki were later defeated by their godfathers because they underperformed despite their early lead.

If Gov Fubara wants to win the FCT minister in 2027, he should deliver good governance to the people. If he has Rivers people behind him, 100 Wikes can't stop his reelection. But if he follows Governor Obaseki's footsteps in bad governance, he will lose his reelection bid to Wike and his cronies. In addition, he needs more friends than more enemies at this juncture.
