Chapter Two — The Test of Trust
One hot afternoon, a new supplier from Lagos brought her a tempting offer.
He whispered,
> “Madam, if you just change the label, we can sell it as imported — more profit for you.”
Her apprentices looked at her.
Everyone was doing it, they thought.
But Aunty Ngozi smiled calmly and said,
> “My name is my capital. If I lose that, profit no go save me.”
She refused.
Weeks later, the same supplier was caught in a scaandal.
Customers began rushing to her shop, saying, “Aunty Ngozi, you’re the only one we trust now.”
Her honesty built her empire faster than shortcuts ever could.
