That falsehood has been peddled for a thousand years does not make it translate into truth.
At times, we do not want to question status quo. Probably because this falsehood was given to us by figures of authority in our lives.
Nothing can be so damning to true learning or education than not wanting to unlearn and relearn.
In the days of VHS and VCD, the companies who produced them kept on with the old cycle. They never saw what the internet is going to do to them and their business.
Interestingly, especially for businesses, when nothing is going wrong for your business is when you need change the most.
Read this,
"...smartest people are constantly revising their understanding, reconsidering a problem they thought they had already solved. They are open to new points of view, new information, new ideas, contradictions, and challenges to their way of thinking..." Jeff Bezos
The above words sum up the essence of this post.
To create a consciousness of constantly reviewing "your truth" with an openness of mind. Listening to people, and those you're surrounded with.
Change starts with the mind. And if your startup or business must succeed in this constantly changing environment then you must be ready to learn, unlearn and relearn.
Mind you can learn the truth about your 25year old falsehood in a day. Your ability to resonate with it without struggles with cultural or spiritual bias therein lies how environmentally intelligent you are.
Unlearning and Relearning is a modern day skill set.
Own it.
