Yesterday, I saw something that changed my entire perspective
I was watching a kid at the park try to climb a slide. He wasn't doing it the "right" way. He was trying to scramble up the slippery plastic slope instead of using the stairs.
He fell. He slid back down. He looked a bit frustrated.
I kept waiting for his dad to step in and show him the "proper" way the shortcut, the stairs, the "proven system."
But he didn’t.
He just sat on the bench and watched. On the fourth try, the kid found a grip on the side rail and hauled himself up. He wasn't just at the top; he was beaming. He didn't just reach the goal he owned the process.
