over the years, I've realized that those that are more successful in a particular trade, profession or vocation are those that invested in *learning* and improving themselves.

The people that we call wealthy or successful today will tell you they committed their time, energy and other resources like money so they could succeed in life.

Sadly, most Nigerians today are not willing to do this, they're only looking for where to invest money and make *quick* profit without stress. This is why so many people have fallen victim to fraudsters easily.

The thing is, without learning, you might be lucky to make a few coins but how will the money keep coming? What do you do to sustain it?

Nobody enrolled in a school and got the certification without going through a period of learning and training.

It took you 4-5years to gain a university degree and you want to start a business today and start earning tomorrow? It doesn't work that way.

There's a tribe in this country that have apprentices serving their masters for seven years and then they are released and adequately settled to start their own business.

You will agree with me that those sets of people are the most successful businessmen and women in Nigeria today.

I mean, you can't help but refer to them when talking about business in Nigeria

I run an affiliate Business, and just like every other legitimate way of making money demands a level of knowledge, patience and perseverance.

Take out time to learn a thing or two about that business you want to invest in, be patient and focused.

No come dey ask me when you'll start making money when you've not taken out time to learn...

PS: That's not my real face!!!

I was hesitant to start the year at first, not because I didn't appreciate life, but rather because I hadn't met 90% of the objectives I had set for myself in 2022.

When I took a step back to consider why most of my goals were unmet, I realized that, given all the faults I was committing, there was no way I could have succeeded.

now consider this:

1. The majority of my goals were wildly unrealistic, like they were beyond my reach.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the value of setting huge goals and working toward them consistently, but there is only so much that anyone can manage at once.

I wanted to earn 2.5 million naira each month but was having trouble reaching a million naira each month.

I have made a conscious decision to keep my goals for this year relatively straightforward and to tackle them in little steps.

2. I was more concerned with the outcomes than with the steps I needed to take to get there.

I shouldn't be concentrating on the outcome to meet my goals for this year. I am taking everyday acts and distancing myself from the outcome, so whether or not the outcomes are evident, I will have transformed into a better version of myself.

3. I wasn't perceptive enough to notice obstacles that were in the way of me accomplishing my objectives.

One of the things that held me back was self-sabotage, such as the belief that I wasn't good enough, the need for everything to be flawless before doing anything, the desire for my content and videos to be excellent, and the tendency to do nothing in the face of these demands.

I decided to address all of that this year, so whether the content is flawless or not, I will be posting it here.

4. Inconsistency; yes, I was really inconsistent last year, coming and going. I gave in to procrastination, and it did have an effect on me. lol. So, if I want to accomplish my goals this year, there will be no place for justifications.

Although last year was a terrific year, I'm posting this because I want to make this year even better.

What different things are you doing this year?

Launching out aggressively earlier in January, my partners and I were determined to help 1000 people start a profitable affiliate marketing business.

The problem with that as we have found is that there are so many assumptions about the business. Three out of four persons one talks to about Affiliate marketing believes:

You need to belong to a community or platform to be or function as an affiliate marketer.

Even more pathetic is the myth about these affiliate marketing communities or platforms being expensive to join.

Less than 2 years before I started my affiliate marketing business, I shared some of these assumptions and except for timely help from a few mentors; I probably would have still been somewhere on my regular job with all the excuses for not starting.

But I discovered early that to be able to start and scale a profitable affiliate business

There are only 3 things required

1. The right skills

2. The right people

3. The right coaching

My success in this business has been from these three things

I'm still learning and I've had people come severally to ask for coaching and Mentorship.
