It is no longer news that Bishop David Oyedepo is a remarkable phenomenon in our time.

I celebrate the abundant grace of God upon your life, as I join millions around the world in honoring you and the extraordinary works God has accomplished through you in His kingdom, and personally, in my life.

My journey with BDO began in 1996, following the loss of my father. My family moved from Surulere to Iyana Ipaja—a period marked by uncertainty and questions about the future. I had just completed secondary school, and life seemed full of challenges. Though I had known the Lord since 1990, I desperately needed reassurance that the promises He made to me would come to pass.

Then, in 1998, I attended my first Sunday service at Winners Chapel, then located at Raji Oba. That day was unforgettable. The presence of God was tangible, the atmosphere refreshing, and the Word felt like fire igniting my soul. In the midst of that experience, I heard God speak to me so clearly, “I will fulfill your dreams!” It was so vivid, I turned to see who had spoken, only to realize it was the voice of God Himself.

From that moment, I knew Winners Chapel was home. For 26 years now, I have had the privilege of observing, learning, and following God under your leadership, sir. I count myself immensely blessed to have my steps divinely ordered to you. Indeed, God has not only fulfilled every dream I had, but has exceeded my expectations.

Thank you, Papa, for your unwavering obedience to the heavenly vision, for answering God’s call, and for your passionate love for God and His kingdom.
