Question of the Week:
Should a mother’s identity revolve primarily around her children?
Amaka used to love painting before she became a mother.
Her weekends were filled with colours, unfinished canvases, and dreams of opening a small art studio someday.
But after having three children, everything changed. Every introduction became, “I’m Jason’s mum” or “The twins’ mother.”
Slowly, she stopped painting, stopped meeting friends, and stopped doing anything that reminded her of who she was before motherhood.
One evening, her daughter asked,
“Mummy, what do you like doing for fun?”
Amaka paused.
She didn’t know how to answer.
That night, she realised something important: loving her children deeply did not mean losing herself completely.
A mother is more than the roles she carries. She is still a woman with purpose, dreams, gifts, and identity beyond motherhood.

Let’s Declare This as We Fast
As we fast today, we declare peace over our homes, clarity over confusion, and strength over weakness.
Our hearts are open, our spirits are aligned, and we receive all that God has prepared for us.
This fast will not be in vain, we will hear God clearly and walk in His direction.
Declare with faith: “I receive divine clarity and strength.”
