Dear Seraph Sisters,

One thing I have learnt over time
Is picking myself even when I mess up.
There is no time to wallow in my mistakes
or keep thinking about what I could have done
that I didn’t do on time.

Maybe you ignored the red flags.
Maybe you stayed too long.
Maybe you lost yourself trying to keep someone.
Maybe you kept accepting less than you deserve.
Maybe you made somebody else your whole world and forgot yourself.
Maybe you knew you should have walked away, but you didn’t.

Yes, you have done this.
Yes, you messed up.

But Jesus did not come to die for you
so you can stay stuck in guilt, regret, and shame.
He came to bring you out of it and make you whole again.

So Seraph sisters,
Can you pick yourself now?
Can you choose yourself now?
Can you do what you have to do?
Yes, you can.

No more sitting in what broke you.
Pick yourself.
Choose yourself.
No time to waste.
