Euagelion Barber Shop: A Tale Of Discipleship

In 2020, I was teaching a group of younger believers a two-week Bible study on soul winning.

I beleive I must have used the greek word ‘Euagelion’ a thousand times. Euagelion is the greek word for ‘gospel’.

One day, after a teaching session, one of the students walked up to me and said “I have changed the name of my barbershop!”

I didn’t think it meant much, not until he told me the name.

He said, “I changed it to Euagelion Barbershop.”

I laughed hard.

He further explained, “Some customer ask me the meaning quite often, and I have the opportunity to share the gospel with them.”

That got me thinking.

Teaching is influence on the minds of men.

Influence is serious business.

Repetition is effective in discipleship.
