Haske Remains in APC Ignore Rumours of Defection, Says Atikun Jimeta

Amid growing political speculation making rounds across social media platforms, concerns have emerged suggesting that prominent Adamawa politician, Haske, is preparing to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) for another political party. However, political commentator and activist Muawiya Muzzy, popularly known as Atikun Jimeta, has dismissed the reports as false and misleading.

Speaking in reaction to the rumours, Atikun Jimeta stated clearly that Haske remains a loyal member of the APC and has shown no sign of leaving the ruling party. He described the claims as baseless propaganda aimed at creating confusion among supporters and destabilizing the political atmosphere.

“It is obvious that some individuals are using social media to spread false narratives in order to cause unnecessary tension. I want to assure the public that Haske is still fully in APC and remains committed to the party,” he said.

His remarks come at a time when political activities in Adamawa State are intensifying ahead of upcoming elections, with several rumours of defections involving key political figures circulating online. Political observers believe such speculations are often used as strategic tools to test public reactions or weaken the influence of rising politicians.

The rumours surrounding Haske’s alleged defection gained traction in recent days after reports surfaced on various social media platforms claiming he was in talks with other political parties. However, neither Haske nor any member of his political camp has officially confirmed such claims.

Supporters of the politician have also continued to express confidence in his loyalty to the APC, insisting that the rumours are merely attempts by political opponents to create division among his followers.
