STATE COMMANDANT COMMENDS PERSONNEL FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE, PRESENTATION OF COURSE CERTIFICATES AND LETTER OF COMMENDATION*

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, CC Panam Musa Buba, has commended personnel of the Command for distinguishing themselves as worthy ambassadors of the Corps.

The Commandant gave the commendation on Monday, 6 July 2026, when participants of the Basic Computer Appreciation Course (BCAC) 56/25 presented their certificates to him in his office following the successful completion of the three-month course at the Nigerian Army School of Signals, 51 Brigade Training School, held from 14 March to 26 June 2026.

The officers who completed the course are CA I Deborah Kussein David and CA II Usman Ibrahim. The State Commandant congratulated them on their achievement and urged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training towards enhancing service delivery, while maintaining the highest standards of discipline, professionalism and integrity.

In a related development, ASC II Janet Sabo, who was deployed to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp, received a Letter of Commendation in recognition of her exemplary conduct, dedication to duty and outstanding performance during the orientation exercise.

CC Panam Musa Buba congratulated the officers on their achievements and encouraged all personnel of the Command to continue to uphold the core values of the Corps through commitment, dedication, discipline and selfless service to the nation.

BOARD SECRETARY COMMENDS NSCDC KADUNA COMMAND OVER SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF 2025 RECRUITMENT PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL SCREENING EXERCISE, 2026 PROMOTION EXAMINATION

The Kaduna State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Friday, July 3, 2026, received the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) on an official monitoring visit to assess the conduct of the ongoing 2025 Recruitment Physical and Medical Screening Exercise and the 2026 Promotion Examination.

The Board Secretary arrived at the Rigasa Train Station, Kaduna, at about 12:00 noon and was received by senior officers and personnel of agencies under the Ministry of Interior, including the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

As part of the monitoring exercise, the Board Secretary first visited the Nigerian Correctional Service, designated as Centre One, before proceeding to Centre Two at the NSCDC Kaduna State Command Headquarters. Upon arrival at the Command Headquarters, he was accorded a befitting Quarter Guard by officers and men of the Command before inspecting the ongoing physical and medical screening of recruitment applicants as well as the promotion examination processes.

Following the inspection, the Board Secretary expressed satisfaction with the transparent, orderly, and hitch-free conduct of the exercise. He commended the officers and personnel involved for their professionalism, dedication, effective coordination, and commitment to upholding the integrity of the recruitment and promotion processes.

The Kaduna State Command remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, fairness, and professionalism in all official assignments entrusted to the Corps, while ensuring that the recruitment and promotion exercises are conducted in line with the guidelines of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board.

*NSCDC Kaduna Deploys 1,500 Personnel for Democracy Day Security*

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, has deployed 1,500 personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure 2026 Democracy Day celebration

State Commandant, CC Panam Musa Buba, said the personnel would provide security at Murtala Square, Centenary Park, major junctions, public gathering centres, and other critical locations. He directed Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to ensure effective security coverage and heightened vigilance against criminal elements.

The deployment comprises 120 senior officers and 1,380 rank-and-file personnel. Intelligence gathering and surveillance have also been intensified, while Operation Fushin Kada has been directed to strengthen highway patrols across the state.

The NSCDC will work in collaboration with other security agencies to maintain law and order. Commandant Panam urged personnel to remain professional, disciplined, and respectful of citizens' rights throughout the operation.

The operation commences at 0630hrs on June 12, 2026, with DCC Abdullahi Karfi Umar serving as Ground Commander, while CC Panam Musa Buba is the Overall Commander.

The Command assured residents of adequate security and urged them to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies.

*NSCDC Kaduna Commandant Honours Invitation to Ministry of Local Government Affairs, Commends Council Chairmen for Support*

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, CC Panam Musa Buba, honoured an invitation extended to him by the Kaduna State Ministry of Local Government Affairs, where he was formally introduced to the Chairmen of the 23 Local Government Areas by the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos.

Speaking during the meeting, the State Commandant expressed appreciation to the Local Government Chairmen for their continued support and cooperation with the Corps at the grassroots level. He noted that the collaboration between the local councils and the NSCDC has significantly enhanced the Corps' capacity to protect critical national assets and infrastructure, maintain peace, and provide security services across the state.

CC Panam Musa Buba further emphasized the importance of sustained partnership between the NSCDC and local government authorities in addressing emerging security challenges and promoting community-based security initiatives. He assured the Chairmen of the Corps' commitment to professionalism, vigilance, and effective service delivery in safeguarding lives and property.

The Commandant also called for continued synergy and information sharing, stressing that collective efforts remain vital in ensuring a secure and peaceful Kaduna State.

The State Commandant, CC Panam Musa Buba, formally presented certificates of participation to officers and participants in his office on 8th June, 2026, in recognition of their successful completion of a capacity-building workshop.

The Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), in collaboration with the CBRNE Unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, organized a two-day Capacity Building Workshop with the theme: " *Chemical Safety, Security and Education."*

The workshop brought together participants from various institutions, including the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Kaduna State University (KASU), Kaduna State Polytechnic (KADPOLY), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), chemical industries, and other relevant stakeholders.

A total of fifteen (15) officers and men of the NSCDC Kaduna State Command participated in the programme, under the leadership of the Head of Unit (HOU), CBRNE, DCC A. O. Yusuf.

*CORRECTIONAL TRAINING SCHOOL COMMANDANT LAUDS NSCDC KADUNA BOSS, SEEKS STRONGER INTER-AGENCY COLLABORATION*

The Commandant of the Correctional Service Training School, Kaduna, CC Raymond Yohanna Jatau, has emphasized the need for leaders of paramilitary agencies to strengthen their services and restore the noble values and standards for which the institutions are known.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, CC Panam Musa Buba, on 2 June 2026, Commandant Jatau described the NSCDC helmsman as an embodiment of knowledge and experience. He noted that his visit was aimed at drawing from the wealth of wisdom and leadership qualities possessed by CC Panam.

He further invited the State Commandant to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the forthcoming Annual Correctional Leadership Award Ceremony and appealed for personnel support to ensure a successful event.

In his response, CC Panam Musa Buba appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the cordial and longstanding relationship between the NSCDC and the Nigerian Correctional Service. He pledged support for the programme and acknowledged the significant role the Correctional Service has played in training and capacity-building for NSCDC personnel.

The visit concluded with photographs and exchange of pleasantries.
