In line with its commitment to strengthening the capacity and resilience of civil society organisations in Nigeria, the Nigeria Network of NGOs (NNNGO) invites coalitions, associations, and individual civil society organisations to apply for a one-day Train-the-Trainer Workshop on Digital Rights, Safety and Security in Abuja.
The workshop aims to strengthen digital safety awareness, cyber preparedness, and digital rights knowledge among civil society organisations while building the capacity of participants to replicate the training within their organisations and networks.
Note: The Nigeria Network of NGOs will provide modest travel support for the training. However, only shortlisted organisations will be contacted.

The modern security is no longer just about a single firewall; itโs about managing a complex ecosystem across four key zones:
The Human Element: Focuses on Social Engineering and Email (Phishing), noting that people are often the "softest" targets.
The Digital Perimeter: Covers visible entry points like Web Applications, Network Ports, and the APIs that connect different software services.
Infrastructure & Identity: Highlights the risks in Endpoints (laptops/servers), Cloud environments, and Identity Systems (passwords and credentials).
Physical & External Risks: Discusses "hidden" vulnerabilities like Wireless/Bluetooth signals, Mobile Devices, and the Supply Chain (third-party vendors and physical USB ports).
The Bottom Line: To stay secure in 2026, organizations must move beyond basic IT checkboxes and adopt a "Zero Trust" approachโconstantly auditing every device, user, and connection to shrink their attack surface.
