Youth and elders of Riyom and Barkin Ladi Federal Constituency staged a massive solidarity rally to declare their unwavering support for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The historic rally coincided with a high profile consultative visit by leading gubernatorial aspirant, Chief Kefas Ropshik, who met with party stalwarts and community leaders to seek their support ahead of the upcoming primary election.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Darim Ezekiel Dachomo addressed the critical security challenges that have plagued Riyom and Barkin Ladi. He spoke with deep passion about the resilience of the people and delivered a stirring message of assurance to the visiting aspirant.
During the town hall meeting with community leaders, Chief Kefas Ropshik spoke critically about the complex insecurity challenges bedeviling the axis. He passionately advocated for the establishment of State Police as a sustainable solution to local security intelligence and response.
Chief Ropshik emphasized that his strategy would rely heavily on continuous town hall engagements with community leaders to ensure that the grassroots directly shape governmental security policy.
Recognizing the deep scars left by years of conflict, he spoke extensively on the plight of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and expressed his deep love and commitment to protecting vulnerable children, promising that his administration would prioritize their welfare, education, and rehabilitation.
