Chairman of Flow FM 92.7, Stefloga group and Kwara APC Gubernatorial aspirant, Araba Femi Sanni, has joined the global community in celebrating fathers on this year's Father's Day.
In a distributed message, Araba described fathers as pillars of strength, sacrifice, and quiet leadership whose influence shapes families, communities, and the nation at large.
Araba noted that fatherhood is often a thankless role, one that demands endless giving without expectation of recognition. He praised the resilience of fathers who work tirelessly to provide for their loved ones, often in the face of economic challenges and personal sacrifice. According to Araba, the values of discipline, integrity, and hard work that fathers instil in their children are the building blocks of a strong society.
The Kwara APC guber aspirant specifically acknowledged the dedication of father figures who step up in the absence of biological fathers, ensuring that no child is left without guidance and love. He encouraged all children to honour their fathers not just with words but with acts of kindness and appreciation that extend beyond today's celebration.
Araba prayed for continued strength, good health, and divine protection over all fathers, urging them to remain steadfast in their roles as providers and protectors. He reaffirmed his commitment to policies that support families and create an environment where fathers can thrive in their responsibilities.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers in Kwara State and beyond.

June 12:: Araba Honours MKO, Pa Rewane, Tinubu, Recalls Days Of Struggle In Exile*
Kwara State APC governorship aspirant, Engr. Femi Sanni (ARABA), has paid tribute to Nigeria’s democracy heroes, including President Bola Tinubu, the late Chief MKO Abiola, Pa Abraham Adesanya, Chief Bola Ige, Ndubuisi Kanu, Sen Shehu Sani, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman, Pa Alfred Rewane, and other pro-democracy leaders whose sacrifices contributed significantly to the restoration of democratic governance in Nigeria.
In a Democracy Day message, Sanni described the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of Nigerians who resisted military rule and championed the restoration of democratic freedoms.
He acknowledged the critical contributions of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), civil society organisations, journalists, and ordinary Nigerians who stood firmly against authoritarianism, noting that their commitment and sacrifice provided the foundation for the democracy the nation enjoys today.
Sanni, who participated in the NADECO movement in Canada during the pro-democracy struggle, was recognised by key APC stakeholders during the party’s governorship primaries for his contributions to the democratic movement.
He also acknowledged the role of President Tinubu and other pro-democracy advocates, describing their efforts in the struggle against military rule as part of the collective contributions that facilitated Nigeria’s transition to the Fourth Republic.
According to him, democracy must continue to advance through stronger institutions, improved accountability, and governance systems that effectively address the aspirations and needs of citizens.
The APC aspirant commended recent developments under President Tinubu’s administration, particularly the Supreme Court judgment affirming financial autonomy for local governments, describing it as a significant step towards strengthening democratic governance at the grassroots level.
He also welcomed ongoing constitutional reforms aimed at establishing state police, following the passage of the State Police Bill by the House of Representatives, noting that decentralising policing would contribute to the development of a more effective and responsive security framework.
Sanni stated that the progress achieved so far underscores the fact that democracy remains an evolving process that requires the sustained commitment of both leaders and citizens.
He called on Nigerians to remain united and dedicated to democratic principles, emphasising that the sacrifices of democracy heroes, from MKO Abiola and other pro-democracy icons to present-day democratic stakeholders, should continue to inspire collective efforts towards building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Nigeria.

Yashikira Palace Attack: Araba Condemns Assault, Renews Call For State Police
Governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Araba Femi Sanni , popularly known as Araba, has condemned the recent attack on the palace of the Emir of Yashikira in Kaiama Local Government Area, describing the incident as barbaric and unacceptable.
Araba, in a statement issued on Monday, expressed shock over the assault on the community, which reportedly led to abductions and destruction of property.
He sympathised with the Emir of Yashikira, affected families and residents of the community, saying the attack further highlighted the growing insecurity confronting rural communities across the country.
The governorship hopeful said the incident reinforced the urgent need for Nigeria to strengthen its security architecture through the establishment of State Police and stronger subnational security structures.
According to him, the current centralised policing system has become overstretched and incapable of responding effectively to emerging local security threats.
“For years, I have consistently advocated for the establishment of State Police and the strengthening of subnational security frameworks that will allow states and local communities play more active and rapid-response roles in protecting lives and property,” he said.
Araba added that communities understand their terrains and peculiar security challenges better, stressing that empowering states with constitutionally backed policing structures would improve intelligence gathering and response time.
He called on security agencies to ensure the rescue of all abducted victims and bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice.
The attack on Yashikira reportedly involved armed men who invaded the Emir’s palace and parts of the community in the early hours, worsening concerns over insecurity in parts of Kwara North.

Araba Femi Sanni MOURNS DR. LATEEF OLANIYAN, DESCRIBES HIM AS BRIDGE BUILDER, COMMUNITY PILLAR
On behalf of my family, myself and the Omu Aran community, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr. Lateef Olaniyan at this difficult time.
I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Dr. Lateef Olaniyan, an influential member of the KSANG family in Seattle, United States, and a distinguished son of Omu Aran whose life touched many across Kwara State and beyond.
Dr. Lateef Olaniyan was widely respected as a bridge builder, community mobiliser and passionate advocate for unity, peace and development. His contributions to the Kwara diaspora community, particularly among Kwarans in Seattle, as well as his unwavering commitment to the progress of Igbomina land and Kwara State, remain enduring legacies.
His demise is indeed a painful loss not only to his immediate family and associates, but also to the wider Omu Aran community, KSANG Seattle family and all who benefitted from his generosity, wisdom and support.
I pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, grants him Al-jannah Firdaus and gives strength and comfort to everyone mourning this great loss.
