Amasa 2027: Alhaji Yakub Amasa Yusuf Denies Stepping Down Rumours, Reaffirms Commitment to Ilorin West/Asa Reps Race
The leading aspirant for the Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Yakub Amasa Yusuf, has strongly denied rumours making rounds that he has stepped down from the race.
Describing the speculation as false, baseless, and politically motivated, Alhaji Yakub stated that he remains fully committed to his aspiration to represent the good people of Ilorin West/Asa Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, Abuja.
He noted that the rumours are mere distractions aimed at misleading supporters and creating unnecessary tension within the political space. He therefore urged party members, supporters, and constituents to disregard such misinformation and remain focused on the collective mission of building a better and more inclusive representation for the constituency.
Alhaji Yakub Amasa Yusuf also called on constituents and party faithful to come out en masse and peacefully perform their civic rights during the party’s primary process, stressing that active participation remains vital to strengthening democracy and ensuring credible representation.
He further reassured the people of his unwavering dedication to grassroots development, youth inclusiveness, transparency, and quality representation if given the mandate to serve.
He appreciated supporters across Ilorin West and Asa for their continued loyalty, encouragement, and overwhelming support towards his ambition.
