Assuming you have the following appliances;

1 decoder

4*5W LED bulbs,
The energy consumption of these appliances for six hours is 923Wh or 0.923KWh
To design a solar system that will power these appliances for six hours every day with a 1 KVA inverter, you will
1. Divide the energy consumption by the inverter efficiency. Good inverters have an efficiency of more than 90% we will use 90% to be on a safe side.
These will be 923Wh/0.9=1025.55Wh
2. Add the value above with the inverter standby consumption (this is the energy consumed by the inverter every day
1025.55Wh+240=1265.55Wh
1266Wh is the total energy the solar panels must generate every day when the sun is shining and the energy needed to be stored in the battery.
3. To size the battery bank, divide the total energy consumption by the system voltage. Using a system voltage of 12V, this becomes
1266Wh/12v=105.5Ah. It is not a good practice to discharge the batteries completely. So we will divide the value above by 50%(0.5) DoD (depth of discharge)
105.5/0.5=211Ah
4. To calculate the number of solar panels needed, divide the total energy by 0.65. ideally solar panels don’t perform up to their rated values due to shading, temperature and other effects that we cannot control.
1266/0.65=1948
Divide again by the peak sun hours (the amount of sunshine available in a particular location for an average day. Here we will use 4.5h
So 1948Wh/4.5h=433Wp
To know the number of panels needed, divide by the power rating on the solar panel. Solar panels come with different rating. In our example, we will use 130W
433/130=3.33
We need approximately 4 solar panels rated at 130W 12V connected in parallel.
5. The size of the charge controller will be 12v 30A. these depends on the amount of current the solar panels will output
So in summary, to have constant noiseless power supply without fuel to power the appliances above for six hours every day, you need:
1*12V 200Ah deep cycle battery
1*1KVA 12V inverter
4*12V 130W solar panels
1*12V 30A solar charge controller

The system will last longer if for example you use your TV and decoder for 3 or 4 hours.
You can also increase the runtime hours by increasing the capacity of the batteries.
