Today, as we commemorate World Health Day 🌍, we are reminded that health is a fundamental human right, not a privilege reserved for a few.

At Solace Sickle Cell Foundation, this message is at the heart of our mission and daily advocacy ❤️. For every warrior living with sickle cell disorder, access to quality healthcare, timely diagnosis, proper treatment, and compassionate support is not optional, it is essential.

We stand to amplify the voices of our warriors 💪🏽 whose strength inspires us, whose resilience challenges us, and whose stories call us to action. No one should have to fight for the care they deserve. No one should be left behind because of a condition they did not choose.

This World Health Day, we call on individuals, communities, stakeholders, and policymakers to prioritize inclusive health systems that support people living with chronic conditions like sickle cell disorder 🩸.

As the Director of Solace Sickle Cell Foundation, I am deeply grateful to Allah and to every single person who supported our Ramadan Support Fundraising initiative.

Alhamdulillāh, the fundraising has officially come to an end, and we are pleased to share that we received total amount of ₦236,000. And all funds received have been fully disbursed to our fasting warriors, as promised.

Despite the limited resources, we remained committed to ensuring that the support reached those who needed it most. With the generosity of our donors and the additional contributions from our valued stakeholders, we were able to extend even greater impact.

We disbursed ₦20,000 each to two exceptional warriors who are not only managing sickle cell but are also mothers raising warrior children. Their strength is truly inspiring.

In addition, we sent ₦10,000 each to twenty warriors, making a total of ₦240,000 in direct financial support. Beyond cash support, we also distributed foodstuffs worth ₦10,000 to several fasting warriors to ease their Ramadan fasting.

For accountability and transparency, we affirm that every naira received was used for its intended purpose. This is a trust, and we do not take it lightly.

Though we sincerely wished to do more, we are thankful for what Allah enabled us to achieve with the little we had. Indeed, small efforts done with sincerity carry immense barakah.

To all our donors, supporters, and well-wishers, we say Jazākumullāhu khayran.

May Allah reward you abundantly, increase you in provision, and grant you ease in all your affairs. Eyin lẹ́ jẹ́ kí aṣọ jabọ l’ẹ́jìká wa: you are the ones who have helped carry this responsibility with us, and we do not take it for granted.

We pray that Allah accepts this from all of us as an act of ‘ibādah, forgives our shortcomings, and blesses every fasting warrior with strength, healing, and ease. May He replenish your pockets, grant you good health, answer your silent prayers, and make you among those who will witness many more Ramadans in peace and prosperity.
